Jacuzzi Thermostat
The Jacuzzi Thermostat also sometimes refered to as a "Curly", because of the curly probe attached to it can be set to various temperatures. Sometimes installers use a Geyser thermostat to save costs, but don't realize that they could be costing the end user Thousands of rands because of their incompetence. The reason I say this is because the Geyser thermostat can be set upto 70 degrees and you should never heat the water above 45 degrees in a Jacuzzi.
If you should heat the water past 45 degress the Jacuzzi shell will start to delaminate. You can read more about this in our section about the Jacuzzi Acrylic Shell.
Something important to remember!!
When Draining your Jacuzzi, please make sure that the heating system is turned off. If not, this might result in your heater casing burning and you might set the Jacuzzi alight. One thing people never tell you about "Curly" thermostats is that, if your temperature is set to 30 degrees and you want to turn it to 40 degrees, you have to turn the dial back to zero before you turn it up to 40 degrees, as this resets the thermostat.
JUST REMEMBER: PUTTING THE THERMOSTAT ON 50 DEGREES IS NOT GOING TO HEAT THE JACUZZI QUICKER, THE HEATING ELEMENT WILL JUST STAY ON LONGER!!
